What else is new? Fewer Americans believe in man-made global warming than they did a few years ago. Climate change has become a polarizing political issue in America as the official Republican party platform has centered around the denial of climate change. With the global warming debate entrenched as a partisan issue and with President Obama’s failure to press the issue, it seems that the US will fall woefully behind the rest of the world. While Europe and developing countries like China, Brazil, and India all take steps to limit carbon pollution and find new energy sources, the US remains an embarrassing obstacle in the battle against climate change.
